Montenero

Montenero is the name we chose for our winery: an evocative word, and a tribute to this Tuscan land that welcomed us and that we fell in love with.

Montenero is a dream come true: making wine however we like, cultivating the countryside, and nurturing vines in line with our emotions.

That is why we work with exclusively organic practices. We follow the phases of the moon and treasure ancient techniques such as green manuring.

We have got to know and cultivate Sangiovese but we are also invested in the rediscovery of two different grapes in terms of origin and vocation: Ciliegiolo and Merlot. What we are looking for in our single-variety wines is to reflect the peculiarity of the land of Montenero in wines that we would like to be singular, showcasing the unique characteristics of each.
