La Banditaccia

In the more than 110 hectares of the vineyard, between the oak woods and the Zancona stream that serves as the border, there are several olive groves with over 1200 olive trees, including a few hundred centuries-old plants of the Olivastra Seggianese variety typical of the area, from which an extra virgin olive oil with exceptional sensorial properties is obtained, while the vineyards, mainly Sangiovese, planted on stony soils of volcanic origin and permanently freshened and dried by the wind, located in front of the beautiful, modern winery, offer grapes of exceptional quality that form the ideal basis for creating outstanding wines.

The Banditaccia vineyards and winery are located along the Montecucco road, with the foothills of Monte Amiata behind and, in front, a breathtaking panoramic view that extends from the hills of Montalcino to the heights of the province of Grosseto through which you can glimpse the Tyrrhenian Sea to the west and north-west. With Banditaccia grapes, excellent wines have always been produced, mostly coming from the great Tuscan Sangiovese, but also from an excellent Merlot.
