Giodo

The story of Giodo in Montalcino begins in 2002 when, after years spent searching, Carlo Ferrini found a first hectare to buy in the precious land of Brunello.
Located between Sant’Angelo in Colle and Sant’Antimo, today the winery has 6 hectares of vineyards and is a perfect place for viticulture due to its exposure, altitude and soil type. A majestic row of cypresses welcomes the visitor to this enchanting place. The rows of Sangiovese dedicated to the production of Brunello di Montalcino and IGT Toscana enjoy breathtaking views of the winding hills around Montalcino up to the Monte Amiata massif. An olive grove for the production of Tuscan PGI oil adds the final touch to the evocative landscape.

Sangiovese: The grape of life
Carlo Ferrini is convinced that extreme elegance in a wine is achieved thanks to balance. For the vineyards of Giodo and its Brunello di Montalcino, only the 8 clones of Sangiovese that have convinced him the most over the years have been chosen. The agronomic management is scrupulous, preferring sustainable practices and aiming for ultimate bunch selection.
